The unsettled weather had passed and it was a glorious morning so we decided to try Chiney Rock Trail again. Conditions were perfect when we started nice and cool, but the desert head was rising fast by the time we finished. A nice walk to start the day.
We left Capitol Reef National Park and started the drive to Bryce Canyon National Park via Scenic Byway 12. At one point the drive reached an altitude of 9600 ft, we only just made it over the summit with all our luggage in the boot! We had a quick pic nic stop just before the rain started again.
Before reaching Bryce Canyon we had a short leg stretch on the Mossy Cave Trail. A nice little Trail and our first sight of the hoodoos (pinnacle of weathered rock).
After settling in to our room at Bryce Canyon Lodge we watched the sun set over the hoodoos while a storm fast approached.
Wow, fantastic photos again!
