Yellowstone at last.

After several days in Yellowstone without internet or phone signal the blog is restarting from where we left off. Before leaving Thermopolis we walked the boardwalk near the mineral hot springs. Thermopolis claims to have the worlds largest hot springs.

On the way from Cody to Yellowstone we passed the Buffalo Bill Dam and made an unscheduled stop. We had no intention of visiting the dam but we were offered a ride down in an electric buggy so I couldn't say no.

Another picnic.

Arriving at Yellowstone, we took our very first hike and joined a ranger led hike to Storm Point. A great short hike and we enjoyed chatting with other hikers. The Ranger gave us a great introduction to Yellowstone.

  2. I wondered where you got to. A 15mph speed limit... is that why it took a while. Geysers look interesting. Bet Hazel was pleased to see another dam :)

    1. 80mph on the Interstate :-) But knocks the fuel economy, what the heck at $2.55 a gallon! Wait till Hazel sees the Glen Canyon Dam, she'll be so excited :-/
